Welcome to the New Site

We at Skaters for Quality Skateparks, a collection of skaters, advocates and concerned citizens, have created this website to share our opinions about American Ramp Company and the sub-par skateparks we feel they are selling.

In several situations, we've approached cities who have been speaking with American Ramp Company (Hardcore Skateparks is the same company) and warned them that they should do more research before moving forward. Telling cities to check out the American Ramp Company park a few cities over or quoting posts from angry skaters in skateboarding forums has not been enough though. Skaters and advocates who question American Ramp Company's legitimacy and credibility, once they've already been working with the city, are often viewed as ungrateful and as a roadblock to the skatepark being built. Thus, we've created this website to provide a single location with information about American Ramp Company. This way the skaters and advocates who are trying to do the right thing can appproach their city with stories about American Ramp Company's skateparks and the city can decide for themselves if that is the company they want to work with.

This website is not meant to endorse any particular skatepark vendor or slander American Ramp Company. Rather than posting biased opinons, this website links to credible newspaper articles and third-party websites. Our only goal is to help communites with good intentions realize their goal of creating a quality skatepark by being aware of information that often falls through the cracks. This website's purpose is to educate the public and raise awareness - skateparks built with low quality standards lead to safety issues - and the public deserves to know if their skaters are being put in danger.

Please read further or check out photos of low quality skateparks here.

  1. Funny Stuff. If all of this is factual information why are you hiding your identity? Reason? You know these pictures are not relevant since they are parks from years past that don’t reflect current build methods or pics that were taken before a project was complete. They include pictures of modifications that customers did themselves (cutting apart and re-welding or installing fiber board enclosures!) as well as ones that are from previous company ownership (an example of this is Solo which we purchased and have since updated to G2 to address these issues), or are not even our parks or equipment altogether!

  2. First of all, your sarcastic tone is so unprofessional. These people are talking about rusty, scorching hot steel ramps that put kids in danger and you are treating it like it’s a joke.

These guys are probably not revealing their identity because given your propensity to sue cities and dealing with cities suing you, you probably have a good legal team that will sue these poor skaters and take everything they have.

You say everything on this site is outdated, but you are still convincing cities that steel skateparks are the way to go – telling them they don’t get hot, they don’t rust, and they aren’t loud. All of these parks are only a few years old, and I don’t understand why you feel you shouldn’t be held accountable for parks that were built a few years ago. In every single industry businesses are held accountable for everything they produce – but you feel like if the park was built in 2008, it is unfair to associate it with your company.

I’m sure you have pre-written responses to all these points, but please save it. The truth lies in your company’s actions and in the photos and videos of your parks – not in the sales pitches you give to cities.

  3. What is seen on this site is the tip of the iceberg! Arc believes in suing quite frequently. A ramp company in the North East was threatened with a slander suit for their post on SPS and Leavenworth, Kansas has a court action stopping the installation of their skatepark equipment by another vendor that won the bid. All is not bad however, there are cities lining up as we blog ready to sue ARC for warranty issues that are going unanswered. In addition to these wows ARC’s name in the industry is shot and due to blogs like this and forums like SPS and others, towns are being made aware of their high pressure sales tactics, bad layouts and extremely low quality equipment. Any company with this kind of disregard for their clients and their end users, skaters, will be forced out of business as a result of the power of communication on the internet.

Mr Bemo, you can’t run and you can’t hide from these truths. God or Jesus will not save you from your fate Nate especially because you used them to perpetrate this fraud on the skaters you profess to serve.

  4. Quote from Mr Bemo "You know these pictures are not relevant since they are parks from years past that don’t reflect current build methods"
What happened to the 20 year warranty?

"Solo which we purchased and have since updated to G2 to address these issues"
You meen if GM bought Ford the Fords will have no warranty, I don't think so.

    Sub quality products
    Ignoring warranties
Hiding behind your own fine print
    Job references that are bogus
Law suits if you loose a bid

Quote Angry "Mr Bemo, you can’t run and you can’t hide from these truths."

  5. The storing of sensitive information can cause anxiety to business owners. All businesses should have criteria for the type of company information they think is important to be stored.
